Tom always knew he had an interest in electronics and technology when, as a child, he would consistently disassemble (and often break) anything he could get his hands on just to see how it worked. His interest in computers began early as he found enjoyment in exploring new hardware, software and operating systems, mostly at his parent’s expense. His family’s investment paid off when Tom received his Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems with minor in Business in 2003. Through the co-op internship program at Dowling College, his first exposure to Techworks was during his tenure at the same print manufacturer our Co-Founder opted to depart to begin Techworks. Tom took a leap of faith and chose to leave his multiple jobs and dedicate all his time and efforts into helping launch the success of Techworks.
Tom has been recognized for his commitment to community betterment by being appointed as a Trustee for the Sachem Public Library as well as re-elected as the Recording Secretary for Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce.
Through his 10 years of martial arts training in childhood, the discipline he received, along with his corporate experiences, molded his vision into the type of leader he wanted to become. Tom expanded his education through many industry recognized course and certification training programs and, with his growing role on the Executive team, his current focus is on endless leadership, coaching, and communication training along with IT service management and continual service improvement.
Fun Fact: Tom is an avid Craft Beer aficionado and enjoys adding to his ever growing list of unique beverages he keeps track of any opportunity he finds.
